OAA Announces the 2024-2025 City & County Application Cycle is Open and New Web-based Grant Portal is Live

The Virginia Opioid Abatement Authority has launched its Web-based Grants Portal system! This system is where cities, counties, and state agencies will manage all activities involving the OAA including applications, award packages, MOUs, amendments, renewals, annual reports, direct distribution reports, and more.

This launch coincides with the opening of the 2024-2025 City & County Application Cycle that runs from October 1, 2024 through April 1, 2025.

Please visit OAA's updated Grants Info webpage for a quick start guide, training opportunities, and the link to the Grants Portal. The Grants Info page also contains guidance for each grant type, a list of important dates for the cycle,(not found) and templates and the terms and conditions. Additionally, there are links to previously awarded projects as well.

State Agencies: There will be a separate virtual training set up for you in early March 2025 before your next proposal window opens. Details will be announced via this newsletter.

City & County System Registration Process

Please Note: There is an administrative process to be completed by each city and county to designate a primary user for the city/county. This process requires:

  1. A letter from the city/county executive designating a person as the primary user who may then invite other users to access to the system for the city/county (each city/county can have up to 5 users).
  2. Each city and county may obtain the authorization prior to the launch of the system so they can be set up with access on the first day. (It will need to be attached to the user's access request).
  3. Additionally, the city/county executive will be able to sign documents generated by the system through Adobe E- sign, so the executive does not have to be a user to sign documents.

Click to Access the Primary User Authorization Template

As noted, there will be additional webinars throughout the application period for Q&A as well as technical support. Additional information on those webinars will be posted through this newsletter and on OAA's website.

Please direct any questions to info@voaa.us and someone will be glad to assist you.
